A drum circle is a way of connecting, sharing rhythm, and creating community through drumming. Experience the powerful healing nature of drumming. The sound and vibration will leave you feeling uplifted and alive. No experience necessary. Drums and other instruments will be provided or feel free to bring your own.

African Drumming Basics with Marie Soffel

Interested in learning how to play the African Djembe drum? This program is designed to offer the beginning drummer the tools and confidence to participate in drum circles. It's easy and fun, no musical experience required. In this workshop you will learn:
- The basic mechanics of African hand drumming
- The skills to play simple African rhythms within a group
- The unique dynamic that playing in a group offers
- How to connect with your own inner rhythm
Everyone has their own rhythm. Express the rhythm within you by learning how to play the African Djembe. All instruments will be provided. This circle is led by Marie Soffel on African djembe. Marie has been drumming for over 3 years with an emphasis of study on African rhythms.
