“Hatha” is a Sanskrit word which means sun and moon. Hatha yoga helps one achieve balance from within. Based on asanas or physical poses, this traditional form of yoga helps balance mind, body, and spirit. This class starts with a breathing exercise or pranayama meditation that helps students find their quiet center and prepare for yoga. This is followed by a flowing sequence of physical poses linked with breath. Students are guided by description, visualization and being “in the moment.” The class ends with Savasana which is your time for deep relaxation. All levels are welcome. Bring your smile and be prepared to enjoy an energizing and refreshing yoga experience!
Ryah Dekis has completed Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, RYT through Yoga Alliance and is registered and certified to teach kids yoga, pre/post-natal, Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, gentle and private sessions. She is also certified to teach guided meditation and Pranayama. Additionally she has completed 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, RYT through Yoga Alliance. She is a member of IAYT-International Association of Yoga Therapists.

What to expect: A vigorously physical, intellectually stimulating and flowing yoga class that includes chanting, breath awareness, deep relaxation and meditation. Inspirational, uplifting music plays an integral role. The emphasis is on teaching yoga as a spiritual practice.
April is dedicated to people living happy and harmonious lives through yoga, yoga therapy, and stress reduction groups. She is a certified Jivamukti yoga instructor, certified Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist, teacher and group facilitator. Her classes have been described as a ‘tune-up’ for your entire being, challenging, intellectually stimulating and empowering.

This weekly class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience. The class begins with guided breathing or pranayama, which enables you to find your center and become present in the moment. This will be followed by the physical poses or asanas, focusing on core strength, alignment and the breath. The class concludes with deep relaxation or savasana. Each student will be guided to practice at his/her own level.
Susan Kessler has been practicing yoga for over ten years, primarily in the Iyengar tradition, and is Yoga Alliance certified (pending) to teach Hatha Yoga and Meditation.
